Thoughts on cultural duality, universality, peace, love, purity, process, mystery, and beauty.

I always choose to see the good in the world.

I'm always hopeful.

It's the only way to live.

I really don't like routine but I've seen the benefits of having one. For me, I always start my day by practicing gratitude and that sets the tone for the rest of the day. I use gratitude as a tool to help me remain centered.

One thing that I'm absolutely sure of...

I just wanna spend the rest of my life laughing.

In general, I try to be kind everyday. I try to be mindful and ask myself if I could've been more kind or more compassionate after a lot of situations. If I don't live up to my standards, I just try to be better the next time.

This is how I measure my self-worth.

I was raised by women who showed compassion to others every single day. When I was younger, I didn't understand why they would invest their energy into others because it seemed like they were constantly stressed and I didn't want to feel like that. However, as I've gotten older I've realized that compassion is everything and your heart is very resilient. I've learned that you have to work at being compassionate everyday and you have to be deliberate about remaining detached if you don't want to be stressed. This has been one of the biggest growth areas in my life.
